Bill Dudney and I are both speaking at the Colorado Software Summit this week. Bill is speaking about Cayenne and Ajax+JSF, while I'm speaking on AppFuse and Migrating from Struts 1 to Struts 2.
When we arrived, we had great weather up here and last night it got even better.
I attended a fair amount of sessions at this show, you can search my blog for "css 2006" to see my posts from the show.

This week, I'm on the road speaking at the Spring Forward 2006 Conference. I've posted a number of blog entries on raibledesigns.com with my presentations, as well as notes from attending other sessions.
Spring 2.0 is definitely hot right now. I've updated our courses for it, as well as AppFuse and Equinox. Both applications have their updates in source control, not in current releases.

Virtuas is here to help these emerging technologies reach their full potential and we offer the same level of expertise for these as we do for technologies that are already widely adopted across the enterprise. Services we provide around the emerging technologies listed below include:
The Hibernate Project
Hibernate is a powerful, high-performance object/relational persistence and query service. Hibernate allows users to develop persistent classes following object-oriented idiom, including association, inheritance, polymorphism, composition, and collections. Hibernate also allows for express queries in its own portable SQL extension (HQL) as well as in native SQL, or with an object-oriented Criteria and Example API. To learn more about the Hibernate open source project, visit: http://www.hibernate.org.
The AppFuse Project
AppFuse is an open source application used to "kickstart" web application development, eliminating countless hours of setup and integration time. AppFuse prompts users for the open source tools and frameworks desired and then it actually creates the project. In addition, AppFuse features many enterprise-ready open source technologies such as Spring Framework, Apache Tomcat, Hibernate, MySQL, and a host of others. Visit http://appfuse.org
for more specifics on this open source project.
